Industries Minister A.C. Moideen on Saturday inaugurated the newly constructed Model Industries Complex of the Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC) at Kinaloor. He also laid the foundation stone for the Phase-II development work at the industrial park.
Purushan Kadalundi, MLA, presided over the function. Local body representatives and KSIDC officials were present. Officials said the second phase of development work at the industrial growth centre would be completed in two years. Mr. Moideen, who chaired a special meeting of officials in the presence of Labour Minister T.P. Ramakrishnan later, said the land owned by KSIDC in Kinaloor would be protected by completing the pending compound wall work at the earliest.
Treatment plants
He made it clear that construction of unscientific waste recycling plants would not be allowed in the industrial estate area. The existing proposal for a plant will be examined in detail, he said.
The Minister also discussed projects for the development of local roads leading to the industrial estate.
