The Government Medical College Hospital (MCH) premises here witnessed noisy scenes on Thursday as a group of people blocked the employee of a medical company following suspicion that he was trying to cart away medicines from the MCH store.

Tension prevailed in the area as representatives of various political parties rushed to the site and sought a spot inquiry into the incident.

Tension eased after the police and the Medical College Principal confirmed that the man was not part of any illegal activities.

The police officials said that the man had come to the store to take back some of the unordered medicines his company had delivered on Wednesday.
