Mass contact programme in Kozhikode

April 27, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:41 am IST - Kozhikode:

‘Karuthal-2015’, the mass contact programme of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, will be held at the Malabar Christian College Ground in Kozhikode on Monday.

The programme will begin at 7 a.m. and is expected to go on till late night to accommodate the large number of complaints received.

So far 11,089 complaints have been received for the programme through various sources. More than 90 per cent of these complaints have already been investigated by respective officials and reports have been submitted. The complaints were filtered by a screening committee chaired by Minister for Social Welfare and Panchayats M.K. Muneer before being submitted to the Chief Minister.

Considering the huge number of complaints, elaborate arrangements have been made at the venue. This is the third mass contact programme being held this year.
