Feasibility study sought

The Kerala Karshaka Union has requested the State government to earmark funds in the State budget for taking up a feasibility study for extending the railway line from Nilambur to Thiruvambady. In a press release, district president of the union Johnson Kalathinkal said that extending the railway line to Thiruvambady via Areekode, Thottumukkam and Koombara would enable the comprehensive development of the hill region and boost tourism. He urged the MPs from Kozhikode, Wayanad and Malappuram to work for realising the project.
