The State-wide non-cooperation stir by government doctors under the aegis of the Kerala Government Medical Officers Association began here on Monday. District secretary of the association, T.N. Suresh, said the strike was complete. However, it did not affect the treatment of patients, he said.

The doctors would skip VIP duties, medical camps, evaluation meetings, medical training programmes, daily medical reporting and the preparation of the expenditure statements among other things as part of the strike.

Dr. Suresh said the authorities’ response to the doctors’ stir was not at all positive.
