Award for J. Devika

The V. Abdulla Prize for Translation has been awarded to J. Devika for Hang Woman, her translation of K.R. Meera’s novel Aarachaar . The selection was made from translated works during the years 2012, 2013, and 2014. The jury consisted of Vice Chancellor of Thunchath Ezhuthachan Malayalam University K. Jayakumar and academics C. Rajendran and S. Nagesh. The award, consisting of Rs.25,000 and a memento, will be presented at a function to be held at Hotel Alakapuri here at 5 p.m. on May 16, a press release said. — Staff Reporter
