The coordination committee of motor workers’ unions has decided to strike work in Kozhikode city and Vadakara town from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on January 11 protesting against the Railways permitting Uber Taxis and Ola Cabs to operate with separate counters from the Kozhikode railway station.

Taxis and autorickshaws will keep off the road during the period.

March planned

The protesters will also take out a march to the Kozhikode railway station from Muthalakulam Maidan at 10 a.m. This was decided at a meeting of the leaders of CITU, AITUC, INTUC, BMS, STU, and HMS.
