Debutant director Rejish Midhila has said that Lal Bahadur Shastri is a clean film, aimed at the family audience.

“I was determined that my film should not have any double entendre,” said Rejish at a meet-the-press programme here on Saturday. “I wanted to appeal to all kinds of audience, especially women.” He said he was encouraged by the response to the film. “The reactions have been positive,” he said. “Viewers have been telling me that it is a good entertainer. And that is what I wanted.”

Minon, who won the National Award for the Best Child Actor for 101 Chodyangal last year, said Lal Bahadur Shastri was probably his most watched film. “The films I have acted so far, including Munnariyippu ,were not watched by mass audience,” said the young actor, who is being schooled at home. “I was glad to be part of this film and to play an important role.” Amith Chakkalakkal, another member of the cast in Lal Bahadur Shastri , also spoke to reporters.
