A convention of the State working committee of the Kerala Nadvathul Mujahideen (KNM) has called for the protection of the rights enshrined in the Indian Constitution that grants freedom to every citizen to profess, practice and propagate his own religion.
It also deplored the attempts to isolate and threaten literary figures and artists who express their independent views on social issues. The organisation would conduct seminars on extremism, terrorism, spiritualism and ‘religion-based State’ in the coming days, the KNM said in a press release on Monday.
Inauguration
KNM State president T.P. Abdulla Koya Madani inaugurated the convention and vice president Hussain Madavoor presided over the function.
