Two Trinamool leaders shot dead

In what appears to be another instance of factional feud in the Trinamool Congress, two local leaders of the ruling party were allegedly shot dead in the Joypur police station area of Howrah district on Friday.

The incident took place when the duo, Seikh Shahjahan and his brother Seikh Lalchand, were returning home from market. The two were allegedly shot dead by a group of miscreants belonging to a rival faction, police said. According to the police, after killing the brothers, the assailants fled while firing indiscriminately, injuring three villagers.
