Festival concludes

Thousands of devotees took part in the 'Marupoojai’ ritual at Bannari Amman Temple, on the final day of the festival on Monday.

The main events of the festival that began on March 27 with 'Poochaduthal’ was the Kundam on April 11, followed by Pushparatham, Manjal Neerattu, Thiruvilakku Pooja and Thangaratham.

Special poojas conducted to the decorated deity on Monday were watched by thousands of devotees who had come from several parts of Erode and Coimbatore, Nilgiris and Tirupur districts.

The Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation operated special services for the convenience of devotees.
