The 2013 edition of The Hindu Young World Quiz will be held in the city on Wednesday.
This is the 14 in the series of the quiz, which started in 2000 to commemorate the 10 anniversary of the Young World supplement.
The regional round began in Thiruvananthapuram on October 29. In Chennai, the quiz will be held at Kamarajar Arangam, Teynampet, and the registration will commence at 11.30 a.m.
Nearly 400 teams are expected to participate in the Chennai round.
Schools from 15 cities will participate in the series. Each school could send a maximum of four teams of two students each — studying in classes VII to IX.
The regional winners compete for the top spots at a grand all-India final. The Young World Quiz regional round and all-India finals will be held in Bangalore.
