Workshop on cleaning sewage contamination

reStore, Organic Farmers Market (OFM) and Eco-Pro Auroville will conduct a workshop on Sunday on cleaning sewage-contaminated surfaces using Activated Effective Microorganism (AEM), according to a press release.

EM, a mixture of three symbiotic and highly beneficial microorganisms, is used in farming, animal care, aquaculture and treatment of wastewater, the release said.

It was also used in tsunami-affected coastal villages in 2005.

The workshop will be held at TRE Organic Farmers Market, Old no 2, Lamech Avenue, Spurtunk Road, Chetpet at 11 a.m.
