Woman falls into boiler, succumbs to injuries

A 22-year-old employee, who suffered severe burns at a stainless steel vessel factory in Tambaram Sanatorium on Thursday, succumbed to injuries on Friday. Nadhiya of Tiruchi was working in the electro plating section of the factory inside Madras Export Processing Zone – Special Economic Zone in Tambaram Sanatorium.

She fell into a huge boiler and sustained severe injuries. She was rushed to a private hospital and later referred to Kilpauk Medical College Hospital, where she died on Friday. Two men, including the company’s director Dinesh and superviser Gopalakrishnan have been arrested, the police added.
