‘Why is govt. silent on BC issue?’

Tamizhaga Vaazhvurimai Katchi president T. Velmurugan has questioned why the Tamil Nadu government is silent on the proposal of the Centre to empower the President to notify the list of socially and educationally backward classes in the States and Union Territories. The State had also not spoken about the Centre’s insistence on NEET. In a statement, Mr. Velmurugan said the State government had passed a Bill in the Assembly seeking exemption from NEET. “
