The VIT, Vellore and Sri Ramachandra University (SRU) on Saturday signed a MoU for enabling collaborative teaching, training and research in medical technology-related disciplines.
The agreement was signed on the occasion of the Founders Day and University Day functions of SRU here by the Chancellors, V.R.Venkatachalam for SRU and G.Viswanathan for VIT.
Speaking on the occasion, the VIT Chancellor urged the Medical Council of India to consider allowing quality private medical universities which had good infrastructure facilities to introduce shift system and permit them to admit more than 150 students in MBBS to meet the growing shortage of health personnel.
