Citing health grounds, hotelier Vikram Agarwal, who is wanted by the Crime Branch-CID in the cricket betting case, has sought more time to appear before the investigation officer.

Agency sources said Mr. Agarwal’s wife met a senior official at the CB-CID headquarters here on Wednesday and submitted a petition on behalf of her husband seeking a week’s time.

The city-based hotelier has been accused of allowing bookies to operate on his hotel premises, besides indulging in betting, the sources said.
