MTC talks remain inconclusive; next round on March 20

The committee formed to discuss the demands had agreed to consider many of their demands, trade union representatives said.

The second round of talks between officials of the Transport department and representative of trade unions for discussing various demands, including wage revision, took place at the Metropolitan Transport Corporation Training Centre at Chrompet on Thursday.

The talks that started at 11 a.m went on till 2 p.m. At the end, representatives of various trade unions said the committee formed to discuss the demands had agreed to consider many of their demands, pertaining mostly to contract employees and their allowances.

The next round of talks is scheduled for March 20.
