TNPL employees to get gold coins

All permanent employees of the Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers Limited will be given six-gram gold coins each and all contract workers three-gram gold coins each in connection with the silver jubilee celebration of the undertaking.

M.K. Stalin, Deputy Chief Minister, would present the coins to the employees and workers, at a function to be held on October 3, according to an official release.

On Thursday, Chairman of the company and Principal Secretary (Industries) M. F. Farooqui, presented a demand for about Rs. 11 crore to Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi towards dividend for 2008-2009.
