Three arrested on prostitution charge

Sleuths of the Anti Trafficking Cell of CBCID apprehended a director and two others on charges of forcing a minor girl into prostitution.

Director Senthamil Arasu of Porur and his aide Rajeswari had cheated the juvenile after promising her opportunities in films.

The CBCID team sent an officer in the guise of a client from whom Arasu demanded Rs. 1.5 lakh. The team then apprehended Arasu, Rajeswari and the girl's mother who was also an accomplice.

The victim was sent to a government children's home, sources added.
