Swachh Bharat campaign at airport

Airports Authority of India is organising a series of events as part of the Swachh Bharat campaign at the Chennai Airport till the end of this month.

Apart from ensuring cleanliness inside the airport complex, the entire area would see a change in ambience in the next fortnight, said Deepak Shastri, Airport Director, while inaugurating a rally and signature campaign on Friday.

Airport staff, CISF personnel, Customs and police department officials took a pledge to ensure cleanliness inside and outside the airport. Other programmes include a campaign on segregation of waste, awareness programmes on avoiding plastic, and drawing, essay writing and oratorical competitions for the children of AAI staff.
