Velammal Matriculation Higher Secondary School is conducting ‘Velammal's State Level Science Talent Search Exam 2010' for students of classes I to XII. The talent examination will be conducted in two rounds and at six levels, at 12 centres in the State.
Preliminary round
The preliminary round will be held on October 23 at the respective school if there are at least 25 students registered for the exam from the institution. The final round will be held on January 9, 2011. According to a release, the 90-minute examination in English would test the knowledge of students in the subjects they are studying. Last year, 1.2 lakh students took the competitive examination.
A registration fee of Rs. 30 is charged. Cash awards and consolation prizes are also being awarded.
