State government shuffles police officers

New officers posted as IG, Intelligence, Chennai and Commissioner, Coimbatore

The Tamil Nadu Government on Saturday effected a shuffle of police officers in the rank of Additional Director-General (ADG) and Inspector-General (IG) and posted new officers as IG, Intelligence, Chennai and Commissioner, Coimbatore.

Amresh Pujari, Commissioner, Coimbatore, has been posted as IG, Intelligence, Chennai, in the place of P. Thamaraikannan who has been transferred as Additional Commissioner, Law and Order, Greater Chennai. T.P. Sundaramurthy, IG, Establishment, Chennai, will be the new Commissioner, Coimbatore. Sanjay Arora, Additional Commissioner, Law and Order, Greater Chennai, has been posted as Additional Commissioner, Traffic, Greater Chennai.

T.Rajendran, ADG, Technical Services, Chennai, has been posted as ADG, State Human Rights Commission, Chennai. .P.Maghendran, Director, DVAC, is the new ADG/Member, Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board, Chennai, vice Mithilesh Kumar Jha, who has been posted as ADG, Technical Services, Chennai.

Railway Police

The Railway Police will now be headed by R. Sekar, who was hitherto ADG, CB CID, Chennai. T.K.Rajendran, ADG, Administration, Chennai, is the new Director, Vigilance and Anti-Corruption. Narinder Pal Singh, ADG, Armed Police, has been posted as ADG, Crime Branch CID, Chennai.
