Vasantham Special School, Mogappair organised a three-day science exhibition.
It was a delight to watch children with special needs explaining their projects and experiments, in an effortless manner, on science concepts such as density, viscosity, motion of light, functioning of a robot, rocket, parts of the human body, nutritious food, hazards of different forms of pollution, and solar system fluently.
The venue being Vasantham Special School at Mogappair, which organised a three-day science exhibition from July 20 to 22.
The main source of encouragement for everyone who worked towards making this happen is the children who showed consistent interest in knowing and trying various experiments. Even children who hardly paid attention during classes evinced interest in the activities pertaining to the exhibition.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Anna Jacob, Correspondent, Spartan School, Mogappair.
Natarajan from Dream India, who initiated this concept of science exhibitionand Krishnamurthy who is a well wisher of the school, were present on the occasion.
The founder and director of the school, Alli Murugesan, said that each and every student is a part of the exhibition “Arivom Ariviyal 2012.”
Besides academics and extracurricular activities, the school, which functions since 1989, offers speech and language therapy, physiotherapy, and vocational training. The school admits individuals with special needs such as mental retardation, autism, cerebral palsy and learning disability.
