A delegation of South Africans of Indian origin on Monday requested Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi to send representatives from Tamil Nadu for the celebrations to mark the 150th anniversary of the arrival of Indians in the African country in November.

Thol. Thirumavalavan, president of the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi, accompanied them.

The Chief Minister told them that he would consider their demands.

The team comprised members of the Christian Network International.
