Sasikala’s petition adjourned

The discharge petition filed by AIADMK supremo Jayalalithaa’s aide Sasikala and her nephews, to be relieved from seven 18-year-old cases pertaining to violations under FERA violations and other economic offences, has been adjourned to March 18.

The cases pertain to foreign exchange violations in hiring transponders for a channel. When the case came up for hearing on Tuesday, the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Economic Offences - I, R.Dakshinamurthy, sought to know the prima facie of the case before hearing the petition.
