Safety Engineers Association holds meet

At least 100 representatives from the industry participated in a one-day meet organised by the Safety Engineers Association here on Friday. The event was collaborated by the Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health and the Regional Labour Institute, Chennai.

The programme intended to provide opportunity for industry representatives for a better understanding on compliance to regulations such as Factories Act, Factory Rules and Building and Other Construction Works Act.

The event was inaugurated by C. Gnanasekara Babu Rao, Director of Industrial Safety and Health.

Labour Secretary Kumar Jayant spoke.
