Deputy Chief Minister and Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam treasurer M.K. Stalin on Wednesday dismissed as “false” reports that his brother and Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers M.K. Alagiri would resign the post after the monsoon session of Parliament.

After chairing a meeting of functionaries of the party youth wing at Anbagam here, Mr. Stalin was responding to questions of journalists.

To another question on AIADMK general secretary Jayalalithaa's statement that his call for an agitation against her on the disproportionate wealth case was tantamount to intimidating court, he said: “We are not bothered. Our position has been explained in the resolution [adopted at the meeting of the youth wing].”

Earlier, the youth wing adopted a motion that the youth wing would hold demonstrations in all district headquarters on August 4.
