Several students, who appeared for an Anna University examination on Principles of Management, were handed question papers that had a printing error on them, at the exam centre in Asan Memorial College of Engineering and Technology Chengalpattu, on Thursday.
While ‘Section A' of the question paper, worth 20 marks, was printed correctly, the other section worth 80 marks on the reverse side of the paper, had questions from the subject Medical Electronics, for which an examination had taken place three days earlier.
Both subjects were elective courses, and were in two different semesters. J. Frederick Allen, Assistant Professor at the Asan Memorial College, said it was a printing mistake. “There were two batches, each containing 100 question papers, printed for the examination on Principles of Management. One of them had the wrong question papers.”
The error was rectified and the correct question papers were handed out to the students. An additional 15 minutes were given to make up for the delay.
