Students from minority communities studying in government, government-aided, and government-recognised schools in Chennai district from Class I-X are eligible to apply for prematric scholarships
Applicants should have passed the annual examinations for the last academic year, scoring over 50 per cent, and the annual income of their parents or custodians should not exceed Rs. 1 lakh, a release from the Chennai District Collectorate, said. The students can apply for the scholarships (new and renewal) through the website,www.scholarships.gov.in. The last date for online applications is August 31. — Staff Reporter
