A day ahead of the declaration of the Plus Two exam results for students across the State, the School Education Department released an advisory urging the students to remain stress-free and calm.

Minister for School Education K.A. Sengottaiyan asked the students, who were concerned about their results to reach out to the teachers in their schools or counsellors.

“The department’s helpline — 14417 — will function round-the-clock and students as well as parents can call if they have any concerns,” he said. Students too have been asked to support and motivate each other.

Nearly 8.66 lakh students are awaiting their results which will be announced on Wednesday at 9.30 a.m. The students will receive their results through SMS on the phone numbers submitted for their school records.

Retotalling from May 17

Those who wish to obtain copies of their answer scripts and apply for retotalling can do so from May 17 to May 19.

Candidates can access their temporary marksheets through their schools or online from May 21 at www.dge.tn.nic.in

While the students of Class X will get their results on May 23, students of Plus I, who have written their board exams for the first time after it was reintroduced last year will receive their results on May 30.

As practised by the School Education department last year, there would be no announcements e regarding rank holders, and schools have been instructed not to publicise lists of toppers through advertisements or banners.
