The Madras High Court has ordered notice to the Pondicherry University on a PIL plea seeking ranking of all the affiliated engineering colleges on its website.
According to the petitioner, his daughter had passed Higher Secondary Examination in 2014-16 and due to non-availability of information on academic performance of engineering colleges affiliated to the university, he was unable to find a suitable college for her.
He was compelled to admit her in a college affiliated to Anna University in Tamil Nadu.
