“Poems should reflect reality and express emotions. It should be written from the experience,” says U. Ayub Khan, a copywriter by profession, who has a passion for writing poetry.
He has written 30 poems, 20 articles, four short stories and six children’s stories.
His poems and articles on his blog have won him accolades from readers across the world, and secured Google Page Rank Two.
“I launched my blog in 2011. My blog contains articles on management, fashion, advertising, poems, and short stories.
My first short story was ‘The Travel’ in 2011. It was based on my experiences in the Middle East, where I worked as an accounts professional for more than 10 years. The same year, I wrote my second short story ‘The Collar’,” says Ayub.
“The passion to write the realities of life has made me a writer. My favourite book is ‘The Picture of Dorian Grey’ by Oscar Wilde.”
Inspiration
When asked him what made him write children’s stories, he says, “I got inspired to write stories for children after I saw my son drawing an image of a boy, naming him Xing-Tom. I wrote Xing Tom-The Adventure of an Adventure Boy.
About poems he says, “I am passionate about writing poetry. It is more than a hobby. I also enjoy reading other people’s poems. It gives me strength to write poems.” Ayub has written a few poems on nature in Tamil.
