Bid to create awareness on waterbodies

If you like to learn about the waterways of the city, then you should not miss out on this Sunday’s ‘On a Water Trail — A Chennai Car Rally’.

The event, inspired by RallyForRivers, initiated by Isha, will be flagged off from Hotel Savera on Dr. Radhakrishnan Salai at 9 a.m. It will involve a journey of about nearly 50 km at particular speeds to different locations within a certain time limit.

The reporting time for the event is 8 a.m. and the registration fee is ₹1,000 (lunch included for four).

Those interested in participating can walk into the Wanderlust Travel Lounge at the Savera between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. or do so on www.howdy.do.

Prior registration is needed for the event that is primarily sponsored by Lanson Toyota, supported by The Savera, powered by Wanderlust Travel Lounge and promoted by The Duchess Club with the Madras Motor Sports Club providing motoring logistics.

The proceeds from the rally will be contributed to the Kotturpuram Tree Park, which is a community-supported environmental activity. For details, call 95148 95141 or 98411 25522.
