Missing teenager feared killed

A teenager who was reported missing on May 29 at the R.K. Nagar police station here is feared killed.

Special teams have launched a search to locate his body.

According to police sources, Dilli Babu (18) of R.K. Nagar did not return home after he went out with his friends on May 10. “We had specific information that Babu was last seen with a few of his friends. Even as we were making enquiries on their antecedents, the suspects tried to kill Babu's brother as he also had a suspicion about them. A six-member gang has been arrested on charges of attempt to murder,” Joint Commissioner of Police (North) N.K. Senthamarai Kannan said on Monday.

He said investigation revealed that Babu was seen with the accused near the Buckingham Canal area. Investigators are trying to access the mobile phone call particulars of the accused to check their location in the second week of May.
