A sailor of the Indian Navy was found dead in the sea. The unnatural death was reported to the Harbour police station.
The deceased, L. Sai Prasad, was on board INS Car Nicobar since June 4 and went missing on June 6.
An extensive search on the ship revealed that he was not on board. Other sailors concluded that he had fallen into the sea. His disappearance was reported to officials at the headquarters, who deployed ships and aircraft for the search. His body was found floating on Friday.
The ship sailed back and reached the Chennai harbour on Saturday.
