Metrowater told to augment supply to newly merged areas of Corporation

Metrowater must provide additional street tanks and filling points to augment water supply to the merged areas of the Corporation, Minister for Municipal Administration and Rural Development K.P.Munusamy said here on Friday.

A press release said that during a review of the Metrowater projects, the Minister said Metrowater must ensure adequate water supply during peak summer. The reasons for undue delay in completing the desalination plant in Nemmeli must be identified and the project expedited. The water agency must also co-ordinate with other government agencies to solve problems pertaining to water supply projects, he said.
