May 21, 2016 12:00 am | Updated September 12, 2016 07:41 pm IST - CHENNAI:

Sri Ramachandra University has postponed the all-India entrance examination scheduled to be held on May 22 for admission to MBBS and BDS for the academic year 2016-17.

In a release the university registrar said the decision was taken in view of the order of the Supreme Court dated May 6. Further intimation would be notified in the University website “in due course,” the release added. The entrance examination notified for admission to paramedical courses (Group C) would be held on May 29, as notified.

PSG Institute of Medical Sciences and Research has also not held its entrance exam. “The court order is very clear and none of us are authorised to conduct exams. For sure, there is going to be NEET (National Eligibility and Entrance Test), but what is uncertain is whether only the test scores would be used or the class XII would also be included,” said S. Ramalingam, institute principal.
