Actor Vijay, who made his support for the AIADMK known ahead of the elections, was a happy man on Friday. “I was really hoping for a change. Now, it seems that all people in Tamil Nadu had felt exactly the same way. This is a much needed change and the scale of victory is amazing,” said the actor who, along with his father S.A. Chandrasekar, met AIADMK general secretary Jayalalithaa at her residence and conveyed his wishes. The actor had a few minutes' exchange with her. “Importantly, I wish to thank members of the Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay Makkal Iyakkam. Respecting my request, they worked extremely hard. I also wish to thank my fans, who supported me in this,” he said. Asked whether he would himself plunge into active politics anytime soon, the actor laughed and said: “I don't know. Let us not discuss that right now.”
