Orange chutney is a delicious and healthy chutney that is not very spicy but goes well with dosas, idilis and rice. I learnt this recipe from my grandmother.

What you need

Orange skin, peeled - 1

Black gram – 2-3 tbsp

Red chillies - 5

Tamarind – a small quantity

Oil - 1 tbsp

Cooking instructions

Cut the orange peel into small pieces. Add a tablespoon of oil to a pan and fry the gram and chilli till it turns golden brown. Add the orange peel and fry. In a blender grind the peel to a rough paste with a pinch of salt and tamarind. Add a little water.
