Home loan mela by CREDAI under way

February 08, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:42 am IST - CHENNAI:

A three-day home loan mela, organised by the Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India (CREDAI), began here on Saturday.

The mela (February 6 to 8), which is being conducted at Vijaya Mahal on Thyagaraya Road in T. Nagar, will be followed by Fairpro 2016, which is scheduled to be held from February 19 to 21 at the Chennai Trade Centre.

Nine banks, including SBI, LICHF, ICICI, AXIS, Sundaram Paribas, KVB, HDFC, TATA Capital and Aditya Birla HSG Finance, are participating with innovative offers to attract buyers.

“After every disaster, home loan offtake usually drops, only to rise in a few months. As the State government and civic bodies such as Chennai Corporation are implementing flood-mitigation projects, residents are expected to take a decision now,” said T.A. Jaishanker, Joint General Manager and Head, Business Development Chennai, HDFC.
