The District Collector, V.K.Shanmugam has announced that in view of incessant rain the educational institutions in Kancheepuram district will not function on Thursday.
According to IMD sources, rain with thunderstorm is expected in the next 24 hours in Chennai and neighbouring districts The maximum and minimum temperature will be between 29 and 22 degrees.
According to latest reports, State government has ordered holiday for schools in Chennai too.
