To celebrate the festival of colours, Jain Housing and Constructions presents The Hindu Holi Festival @ Chennai. It will be held on March 24 at MGM Beach Resort, ECR, with lunch and complimentary beverage. The line-up includes rain dance, foam party and contests. Only organic colours will be used for the celebration. Inflatable pools and water guns too will be available. The programme will feature Bollywood DJ Akbar Sami who promises popular numbers. The tickets to the event are priced at Rs. 999 for a person and Rs. 1,499, a couple and are available on www.bookmyshow.com.

The Indo Cine Appreciation Foundation, in association with the Russian Centre of Science and Culture, organises the BRICS Film Festival.

As many as five films by directors Oleg Pogodin, Cao Hamburger, Darrell Roodt, Yimou Zhang and Abhinav Shiv Tiwani will be screened as part of the festival. The films are from the BRICS countries of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.

The festival is to be held from March 25 to 27 at the Russian Centre of Science and Culture, No. 74, Kasturi Ranga Road, Alwarpet. For details, call 2821-2652.

Oass (March 27, 7.45 p.m.) is a touching tale of little Kiku who refuses to lose hope, after she is packed off to a brothel as an 11-year-old
