The Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions 2017, the single window counselling for affiliated colleges and the departments of Anna University, begins on Monday.

The University has issued a notification on its website about facilities offered for candidates who have been called for counselling. This year, counselling will be held first for vocational stream students.

90-minute session

The duration of each counselling session will be for 90 minutes. Counselling would begin at 7 a.m. every day.

The university has informed that it has arranged for women candidates accompanied by a woman relative to stay in the hostel on the premises. Women candidates who have their counselling session at 7 p.m. and would prefer to leave the next day can also avail themselves of the facility.

Varsity advisory

The university has cautioned candidates to check the names of the colleges and confirm the address of the college they propose to choose during counselling. Candidates have also been advised to check Anna University’s website for the college code number and confirm the availability of hostel facilities in the college before confirming seat in the course of their choice. Once a seat is allotted, candidates cannot seek to reverse their decision, the university has pointed out.
