DMK working president M.K. Stalin on Monday said the AIADMK government must take responsibility for what he called the wholesale destruction of industries in the State and resign so that industries could grow and the standard of life of common people could be improved.

Recalling the statement of Amitab Kant, CEO of NITI Aayog, that Tamil Nadu stood last in the list of States with favourable industrial climate, Mr. Stalin said industrial growth under n the AIADMK regime.

He said even though the World Bank and various chambers of commerce had commented on the prevailing situation, the government headed by Edappadi K. Palaniswami was nonchalant and dangerously ignorant.

Mr. Stalin added that though he brought a calling attention motion on the issue, the Electricity Minister did not seem to have understood the precarious situation.

“The government has hopelessly failed to follow up on promises made at the Global Investors Meet,” he charged.
