The DMK on Wednesday slammed the AIADMK government for its alleged failure to check the “deteriorating” law and order situation following the conviction of former chief minister Jayalalithaa in a graft case.

The DMK District Secretaries meeting, chaired by party patriarch M Karunanidhi, deliberated on the prevailing law and order situation and urged the Centre “to take steps to put an end to atrocities committed against people”.

The meeting passed resolutions resolving to hold democratic and peaceful demonstrations to highlight hardship caused to people due to protests by ruling AIADMK activists.
