Devote time for fitness, students told

‘Vibrance ’16’, a two-day cultural and sports festival began at the Chennai campus of VIT University on Friday. While inaugurating the festival and handing over prizes for the cultural and sports events conducted earlier, international para-athlete Malathi Krishnamurthi Holla appealed to students to devote at least 30 minutes for physical fitness.

Assistant vice president, VIT University, Kadhambari S. Viswanathan said more than 40 colleges and universities had sent their registrations for the 77 events planned over two days. Noel Sean and Mounima, who shot to fame with their songs in Bahubali , took part in the inaugural session.
