The Hindu ’s Clean Chennai @ Home workshop comes to Chromepet and Kilpauk this weekend.
Experts Navneeth Raghavan, Preethi Sukumaran and Srinivas Krishnaswamy, will address issues such as waste management and segregation at source, composting made simple even if you live in an apartment, recognising various grades of plastic, and in general, several simple ways in which you can help to keep your Chennai clean.
Mathew Jose, Founder-Director of Paperman , will also join in with information on resources for recycling in Chennai. Started in 2010, Paperman works with over 200 schools across south India to make a behavioral change among kids towards recycling. They also work to connect residents with their closest recycler. Through their Recycle Helpline, they currently connect 220 households in Chennai.
