The cubs and bulbuls unit of Chettinad Vidyashram have been representing Tamil Nadu for the Golden Arrow Award since five years. This year, of 266 cubs and 241 bulbuls, eight cubs and seven bulbuls of the school represented Tamil Nadu to receive the award.
Cub Adith V Cholan and bulbul Sanjana Balaji received the award on behalf of Tamil Nadu State from Rameshwar Thakur, Ex-Governor of Karnataka, and currently the president of Bharat Scouts and Guides. The award function was held recently at National Head Quarters of Bharat Scouts and Guides, New Delhi.
A jungle dance and Bharatanatyam was performed by the unit on the occasion. Also, the students exhibited some projects based on Tamil Nadu State.
The students performed well under the motivation and guidance of the school correspondent, Dr. Meena Muthiah, president, South Chennai Bharat Scouts and Guides, Chettinad Vidyashram.
