The State government on Tuesday announced the transfer and postings of senior police officers in Chennai and rest of the State.
According to an official release, C. Sridhar, Joint Commissioner of Police, L&O (north), Greater Chennai Police, is transferred and posted as Joint Commissioner of Police, L&O (East), Greater Chennai Police. R. Dhinakaran, Joint Commissioner, Traffic (south) is transferred and posted as Joint Commissioner, L&O (north).
A. Arun, Joint Commissioner, Traffic (north) has been transferred and posted as Joint Commissioner, L&O (south) in an existing vacancy. M.T. Ganeshmoorthy, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Crime Branch CID, has been transferred and posted as Joint Commissioner, Traffic (north).
P. Nagarajan, DIG, headquarters, is transferred and posted as Joint Commissioner, Traffic (south). P. Saravanan, Deputy Commissioner, St. Thomas Mount, is transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner, T. Nagar, in an existing vacancy.
Avinash Kumar, Deputy Commissioner, Security, Greater Chennai Police, is transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner, St. Thomas Mount.
E.T. Samson, Superintendent of Police, Railways, Tiruchi, is transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Tiruvallur district. G. Ramar, Deputy Commissioner, Headquarters, Coimbatore City, is transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner, Security, Greater Chennai Police.
D. Shanmuga Priya, Additional Superintendent of Police, Vigilance and Anti-Corruption is promoted as Superintendent of Police and posted as SP, Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, Special Investigation Cell, Chennai in an existing vacancy.
P. Pakalavan who was in waiting list was posted as Superintendent of Police, Commercial Crime Investigation Wing CID, Economic Offences Wing, Chennai, in place of Z. Annie Vijaya who is transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Railways, Tiruchi.
A. Saravanan, Superintendent of Police, Tiruvallur district, is transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Dindigul district, in place of T. Jeyachandran who is transferred and posted as SP, Thiruvarur district, in the place of S. Kaliraj Mahesh Kumar who has completed his tenure of deputation and returning to parent cadre.
D. Jayavel, Deputy Commandant (Category III) , TN Special Police III Battalion is transferred and posted as Commandant, TN Special Police IX Battalion, Manimuthar vice S.N. Umayal who is transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner, Crime, Madurai City, in an existing vacancy.
I. Eswaran, formerly Commandant, IX Battalion, reverted as Additional Superintendent of Police, is re-promoted as SP temporarily and posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Headquarters, Coimbatore City.
